What about the noise of crumpling paper?: Wiesbaden

Reed Quintet Blattwerk goes on tour with its ground-breaking programme, “What about the noise of crumpling paper?”, including performances in Bern, Basel, Zurich, Geneva, La Chaux-de-Fonds and Wiesbaden (upon invitation by Panakustika). The quintet teams up with composers Arturo Corrales & Robert Torche and reinvents the idea of a reed quintet – a chamber music format that is now enjoying widespread success across the globe – using music by John Cage, Claude Debussy and Arturo Corrales. Robert Torche’s reinventing, or reimagining of Debussy’s Six épigraphes is juxtaposed with the meditative qualities of Cage’s What about the noise of crumpling paper? . Arturo Corrales takes the audience on an intensely centrifugal ride with a newly composed work for bass reeds and live electronics titled Massiv.
