Ensemble Proton Bern supports the next generation of composers through an annual commissioning programme called protonwerk. Now in its 9th year, 4 young composers have been invited to write new works for ensemble proton bern from Italy, New Zealand, France and the USA, following a competitive selection process. In this concert the ensemble also celebrates the selection of a 6 [+1] by Andrzej Kwieciński as the most “liked” tutti composition arising from the protonwerk project. Ensemble Proton is also joined for the first time by conductor Gregor Mayrhofer!
