I’ve recently created two new videos for my YouTube channel:
Bass clarinet modifications: due to the mechanical complexity of bass clarinets, there are always going to by imperfections or compromises at play. I introduce four small mechanical changes to my Selmer bass clarinet and explain what they do.
Modern clarinet d’amore: I’ve been working intensively on this project for nearly a year now. Clarinet d’amore seems to be a growing area of interest in the historical music scene, however we haven’t had until now a modern instrument equivalent. The modern extended range clarinet d’amore in G makes a solid case for why the clarinet d’amore is here to stay this time, and how it can be used in music by living composers.
Next up: contrabass clarinets!
