Ensemble Proton: objets trouvés

  • Dampfzentrale Bern (map)

Ensemble Proton ventures into the world of performing with everyday, found objects: objets trouvés. Be it wine glasses, antique coffee grinders, reception bells, microwave grates, mirrors, A4 paper, steel brushes, ceramic tiles, sandpaper or self-made sonic surfaces, it’s quite simple: every object is capable of making music in some way. As part of the platform for young composers, Protonwerk, 5 composers were selected to write brand new pieces for objets trouvés with optional electronics. Come and experience the magic of these new works!

William Dougherty – Around the Glogge (2021) for reception bells and electronics
Ole Hübner – Masse und Bewegung 4 (2021) for found objects
Ruud Roelofsen – Surface Studies (2021) for self-made sonic surfaces
Clemens Thomas – Mahlwerk (2021) for coffee grinders, performer and electronics
Eleni Ralli – All Around a Drunk Fugue (2021) for wine glasses
